Ticket Pocket in NFC phone
Full service concept where NFC phones is used together with NFC/RFID based travel or other smartcards and ticketing backend systems. User can now see tickets from travel card by touching card with NFC phone and Ticket Pocket application , he can order and pay a new ticket from the ticket sales office and new ticket is delivered to his smart card.
Event logistic service in Open Europeans sailing event
The competitors, staff and press attending the Open Europeans Helsinki race was offered an exceptionally versatile competition badge. The NFC based badge works simultaneously as an ID card, food voucher, public transportation pass and access control system. The basis for the race badge is the public transportation card of the Helsinki Region Transport (HSL). The one single card will be used as a competitors’ ID card, access pass to different racing areas and as a voucher for daily routines such as dining. The same system is also used to register a competitors’ status: whether they are at sea or on land. Nokia C7 NFC phones is used as a validation devices.
Walk and Feel Helsinki
New guiding concept for cruise tourists piloted in Hernesaari, Helsinki. A guided route is built from the harbor to the city center. What makes the route special, are the digital tags attached to the signposts – they allow people to access mobile services.
Forum Virium Helsinki will run a pilot project to test a new kind of city interface. Signs will be equipped with NFC tags and 2D barcodes, through which visitors receive information about points of interest along the way. The service can be accessed by mobile phone, either with a web browser of a phone, or a free application.
While On the Move

- Daisy is a mobile NFC solution for pre-schools, schools and day cares that releases teachers’ time from paper work to children care. Daisy is not only time and attendance service, but lot more. It includes messaging between personnel and also between personnel and homes. On-line information from the class or group is always at hand (present, absent, on vacation, on sick-leave, coming later, etc.). Teachers can also take images during the day and save them to the class album. There is also NFC enabled tablet application available that parents can use when they visit the school.
- Lady Shopper is a NFC enabled mobile service for female shoppers that provides product information to the loyalty customers. Lady shopper can pick-up products to her ‘shopping bag’ and later on browse them and get additional information from the Internet (brands, You Tube, etc.). She can share the information among her friends at the Facebook.
- Sport Shopper is a NFC enabled mobile service for sport equipment shoppers that provides product information to the customers. The shopper can pick-up products to his/her ‘shopping bag’ and later on browse them and get additional information from the Internet (brands, You Tube, etc.). The user can share the information among friends at the Facebook.

Near Field Communication and Augmented Reality
Augmented reality (AR) is the technique of superimposing virtual objects in the user’s view of the real world, providing a novel visualization technology for a wide range of application. Identity management for web enabled smart card platform
This demonstration shows a prototype version of a single sign-on Java Card application was done with Java Card 3 generation emulator. The purpose of this study is to show how secure element can support for web connected services be used to provide user centric credential management platform in mobile phone. Hot in the City
HOT in the CITY is the – first in the world – mobile social media service that uses Near Field Communication, NFC enabled mobile phones as friend connection platform. This mobility brings a whole new way of looking at friend connections and friend networks. Location creation is based on NFC tags, which and are easy to create and use.
